Slovakia is in the top 10 best destinations in Europe for property investment, it has been stated. Citing cheap property and strong growth potential in the economy, Liam Bailey of Write About Property gave the country a resounding vote of confidence.
"There are so many strong emerging economies in Europe, with indicators pointing at increasing demand for housing and second properties, that it is hard to pin-point one as being better than the other. That is why I have been so cautious in saying Slovakia is in the top 10," he said.
"However if you are on a very small budget then Slovakia may reach higher up the list, because of the potential for bargain property in the country," he added.
We recommended Slovakia for property investment earlier this year, because our research led us to believe that its economy would weather the global economic storm better than its peers and even the great European nations.
There has been a lot of fuss made recently, as the places expected to avoid recession, the likes of Slovakia and Bulgaria, are now expected to fall into a recession. However, this is good news for British property investors, because it caused the Pound to further strengthen against the Euro, and knocked 10% off Eurozone properties for British buyers. Slovakia adopted the Euro just a few months ago.
"You can pick up a solid property in need of renovation in Slovakia for under £10k," said Les Calvert Property Abroad.com director.
