Investors buying property in Africa might wish to consider acquiring a home in Cape Town if they are looking to tap into the tourist rental market.
The city was recently named the top tourist destination in the continent at the World Travel Awards in Durban.
More than 200 organisations were nominated for gongs at the event in more than 75 categories for the Africa region.
South Africa fared well on the night, with Johannesburg's Tourism Company voted the best city tourist board and The Palace of the Lost City picking up an accolade for best casino resort.
Another honour went to a firm from the country in the form of the Africa's Leading Airline accolade, which was handed out to South African Airways.
According to companiesandmarket.com's South Africa Tourism report for the second quarter of this year, the number of foreign arrivals was up 5.5 per cent year-on-year.
