south african property to be boosted by world cup
News Posted On: 01 July 2010
According to reports the World Cup, which is currently happening in South Africa has not had the expected impact on the South African property market. For god sake give it a chance man!!
The World Cup 2010 cannot fail to have an impact on South Africa's property market. This is because it has given South Africa its chance to appear on the world stage as a safe place to visit and therefore to buy property.
As we all know, Africa is one of the poorest continents in the world, and as a result, property prices are among the lowest in the world, and therefore offer excellent value for money. In fact, one of the few things greater than the value for money to be found is uncertainty over which places are and are not safe to visit and to own property in.
South Africa was always one of the countries with the lowest levels of uncertainty, because it is the country that we know most about, and the country with the culture most similar to ours. South Africa will forever be known for its past of Apartheid rule, whereby the minority white population ran a dictatorship over the majority black population, which were refused the right to vote. This is a large part of the reason why we know so much about South Africa, which is consequently one of the main reasons it is one of the few places in Africa we have deemed safe as a tourist destination.
In this cause to remove any remaining uncertainty the World Cup authority's (FIFA) decision to allow South Africa to host the tournament will help no end. This will undoubtedly bring the phenomenal value for money into an even brighter light.
