To withdraw cash from UK Accounts, National Girobank Postcheques can be used at main Spanish Post Offices.

International Travellers Cheques

Widely accepted and can be easily exchanged at banks or exchange bureaux. To avoid any delays and hassles, travellers are advised to carry traveller’s cheques in Euros or Pound Sterling.

Restrictions regarding Local Currency

Import and export of local currency is unlimited. However, declaration is required for export of amounts exceeding Euro 6010 (in any currency) per person per journey. Declaration is also required for the export of cash notes and bearers-cheques in any currency, exceeding Euro 3050 per person per journey.
