3 Bed Town House In Moclin
A tastefully restored, south facing, two storey village house of three bedrooms, two lounges, separate dining room, fully fitted designer galley style kitchen, and beautiful tiered sun and dining terraces secured behind an Andaluz courtyard wall. Above one part of the main house, is a self-contained independent one bedroom apartment consisting of a private entrance, lounge/diner and kitchen combination with a fabulous timber pitched ceiling, and a shower room. Used for guests and as holiday rental accommodation, this quality residence combines a family home and business. In addition, there is a large independent garage/storage room with two, as yet undeveloped, cave rooms for further expansion. Located within the picturesque historic village of Moclin, quietly over looked by the imposing castle, the last bastion of the Moors, this spacious home retains many original features. All windows are solid wood , double glazed, and have Spanish cottage shutters. Most rooms contain olive or similar wooden beams that have been lovingly restored and treated. All rooms have been rewired within the last 4 years, and the décor is of neutral and natural colours to place much emphasis on natural light and space. The effect successfully harmonizes the historic character of the old village farmhouse with the modern. There is an electric fire feature within the first of the two lounges, and two wood burning stoves: one within the main house, the other within the apartment. The en-suite bathroom contains a corner Jacuzzi/ whirlpool bath and an independent power shower, while solid wood fitted wardrobes provide ample storage within the main bedroom. From the terraces there are Sierra Nevada views, castle views and vistas across the rocky outcrops , cereal fields and Olive orchards synonymous of the area. Moclin is located north-west of Granada province in the mid-land between Eastern and Western Andalucia, in west Granada. The vibrant city is just under 30 minutes car journey, and skiing at the Sierra Nevada resort is realistically just under one hour. Salobreña upon the Costa Tropical is one hour, Granada airport in the opposite direction a mere 20 minutes, and the Malaga coast, again one hour. The village has all the modern amenities necessary, such as schools, banks, small shops, larger supermarkets, a chemist and village doctor, as well as a rural tourist trade, pony trekking, walking cycling and many historic sites to visit.
