Geneva International Airport is located in the far West of Switzerland , near the country’s border with France. The airport is accessible from Switzerland via the N1 motorway, and can also be accessed from France without entering Swiss territory. Geneva railway station is 300 metres from the Departures and Arrivals floors, and there are direct trains from here to destinations all over Switzerland and Europe.

The terminal has banks, Bureaux de Change , ATMs and a post office, and mobile phones are available for hire. Wireless internet is available in all public areas and there is an internet café in the railway station. The airport offers a range of bars, cafes and restaurants, and shopping options include duty free, as well as watches, fashion, food and luxury items. The airport’s public areas and car park are fully accessible to wheelchair users, and there are pharmacies, a medical centre and a nursery in the airport.

Zurich Airport, the largest international airport in Switzerland, is located a short distance from Zurich, in the centre of the country. It’s accessed from central Zurich by route L1 and the R60/E41 motorway, and a Swiss Federal Railways station is located under the Gates B area, with trains to central Zurich and many other Swiss destinations. The journey time into Zurich is about 10 minutes, and the fare is CHF8.20 (US$8.80). The airport is also served by bus links and a coach network as well as taxis outside the arrivals area.

There are banks which provide Bureau de Change services at various points within the airport complex. Further Bureaux de Change are also located throughout the airport. There is a post office, paid for wireless internet hotspots, and fax and phone services available. A range of eateries and bars including a sports bar and a jazz bar is available both before and after security. A large selection of shops includes duty free, fashion boutiques, newsagents and gift shops as well as a medical and dental centre, pharmacies, prayer rooms and nurseries. The airport is fully accessible to wheelchair users and disabled passengers.
