Passports are required by the nationals of all countries except the nationals of:
Note 1: Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, and Spain. Identity can be proved either by a valid a national passport or any valid national identity card.
Passport is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in the country.
Visas are required by nationals of all abovementioned countries except:
(a) Note 2: For EU nationals, visas are not required for stays up to 3 months except those mentioned under Notes 3 and 4 below.
(b) Transit passengers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours, provided not leaving the airport and in possession of confirmed onward tickets.
The visitors traveling by sea or land via Turkey do not need a visa.
Sticker-type Entry Visas: Tourists and business visitors from the following countries need visas and can obtain a sticker-type entry visa at the point of entry for a varying fee depending on their nationality:
Note 3: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Malta, The Netherlands,
Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, the UK and USA for stays not exceeding three months;
Note 4: Greek Cypriot Administrative Region, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovak Republic for stays not exceeding one month.
The nationals of all countries, not mentioned in the chart above, should contact their local embassy for visa requirements.
Visa Fee for UK travellers: The UK passport holders can obtain tourist visa either at the port of entry in Turkey for £10 or from the consulate general in the UK for £50. Single transit (up to three months): £30. Study (up to one year): £85. Work (up to one year): £122.
