Turkey has been identified as a good destination for investors looking for a stable place to buy property during the global economic downturn.
An expert from Turkish market specialist Nirvana International said those who purchase a home in the country could make reliable returns on their investments.
Robert Nixon, executive director of the firm, told Fly2Let: "With the world markets as they are at present, Turkey offers a stable environment for property investors."
Fly2Let noted that property in Turkey could be particularly attractive because the country has a population of more than 70 million, about 70 per cent of whom are below 30 years of age.
This means that the domestic property market in the country is strong, particularly as the population increases by around two per cent annually.
It also offers a warm climate, low crime rate and cost of living, as well as the possibility that it will become a full European Union member by 2015, which could boost property values in the country.
This comes after property giant International Realty Plus announced that it would be branching out in Turkey to take advantage of the opportunities in the nation's property market.
