The all-year round rental potential of the Black Sea region in Turkey was shown in all its glory, with heavy snowfall throughout almost the entire region yesterday. The first snowfall of the season, after many parts of the region had enjoyed a glorious summer season.
"Turkey is thought of as a destination for sun-loving beach goers, and so it is in the summer months. But it also has some excellent ski resorts in winter. It is entirely possible to find a ski-property, in a place where the summer months are warm and sunny, and the winter gives a full season of reliable snowfall," said Les Calvert director of overseas property portal Property Abroad.
The ski-resorts in Turkey are predominantly on the Mediterranean coast, with arguably the most popular being in Antalya. Antalya is also one of Turkey's most famous regions for its summers and beaches. Thus Kemer and Turkey's other ski-resorts have -- arguably -- the biggest potential for all year round rentals in the world.
Ski property in Turkey benefits from its low price just as all property in Turkey does, with 2 bedroom villas in Antalya available from as little as £55,000. The ski-tourism market is currently overlooked, the hidden gem for many, who are keen to keep it to themselves.
However, tourism to Turkey is growing massively, and a lot of its growth comes from word-of-mouth advertising. It won't be long before people cotton on to the excellent skiing on offer in Turkey.
